Can I put this in the machine?

Kink Dispenser logo: a red gumball machine filled with pride and kink flag capsules

Possibly, and we love that you asked.

We are happy to consider donations from individuals, makers, vendors, artists, educators, businesses, and other community creatures. New or used is great. Recycling something clean, intact, and delightful into a future Kink is very much in the spirit of the Kink Dispenser, but please talk to us first.

Makers & vendors

Want to be inside the machine?

We would love for the Kink Dispenser to become a tiny rolling showcase of the community. Independent makers, leatherworkers, 3D artists, toy makers, educators, authors, artists, kink businesses, community organizations, event producers, and other delightful weirdos are welcome to get in touch. Depending on the item, contributions might include products, samples, miniatures, stickers, promotional goodies, gift certificates, or larger Golden Ticket prizes.

What fits (and what doesn’t)

Size

Items going inside the machine need to fit inside a Kink capsule. Our Kinks range from approximately 2 inches to 3 inches. These are true inches, not Grindr inches. Packaging needs to fit inside the Kink capsule and the capsule must close without requiring a negotiation, tool, or moment of silence. Larger items may work as Golden Ticket prizes, contact us before assuming we have room to transport your generosity.

Materials

Ordinary novelty prizes need to tolerate transport, storage, and direct sunlight without melting, warping, becoming sticky, disintegrating, or otherwise regretting their life choices. If it can leak, ooze, spill, burst, separate, ferment, or require us to explain why the inside of the machine is suddenly moist, it is probably not a good fit.

For the general prizes, we’re looking for things that don’t expire, spoil, or require refrigeration. Packaged condoms and lube are a separate conversation: talk to us first so packaging, expiration dates, and storage requirements can be considered.

Condition

Items should be clean, intact, functional where applicable, and something another human would actually be pleased to receive. Think “delightful treasure,” not “object of uncertain provenance.”

It has to feel like a prize

Coupons, discount codes, and promotional items may be appropriate, but nobody wants to spend $5, open a Kink, and discover fate awarded them 10% off carpet cleaning. Know your audience. A business card is not a prize. A business card attached to something interesting, useful, funny, kinky, beautiful, or delightfully weird? Perfect for a Kink!

Inclusivity

We want prizes that can be enjoyed by a broad range of people across bodies, genders, orientations, identities, roles, and flavors of kink. Highly specific items are not automatically excluded, but broadly enjoyable is useful. We want an interesting collection that reflects our community, not an entire machine stocked for one identity.

Packaging and intended use

Include necessary instructions, labels, and material information. If packaging is needed, it must fit inside the Kink capsule too. If handing an item to an unsuspecting stranger would create the sort of story we would rather not have to explain later, we may decline it. If you are a maker or vendor, please include a slip of paper with all of your information so we can print something for the capsule, and give attendees a way to see more of your store.

Can I donate used toys?

Yes, with one very important distinction: used prizes can be great; used sex toys are not accepted.

Small 3D prints, rubber ducks, figurines, charms, miniatures, novelty items, and other tiny treasures may be excellent candidates as long as they are clean, unbroken, in good condition, suitable for redistribution, and something a reasonably wide variety of humans might enjoy receiving. No amount of sanitizing transforms your retired sex toy into community inventory. We applaud its service, let it rest.

Ask before buying five hundred

Send a description, photo, dimensions, quantity, and any relevant information to kink@kinkdispenser.org.

Please don’t arrive with a grocery bag full of mysterious objects from the bottom drawer of your nightstand and announce that you have “inventory.”

Let’s make something ridiculous

Event-specific Kinks, sponsored prizes, maker collaborations, and other partnerships can be a fun way to support both the selected cause and the people who make the community interesting. We can discuss acknowledgments, what you would charge us for the items, maker information, and opportunities to highlight contributions through the website and Kink Dispenser social media. Reach out before the event so we can figure out what makes sense. We are enthusiastic, but we cannot bend the physical dimensions of a Kink through optimism alone.
